I ride a 62 lbs e-bike. To make things worse I am a very heavy rider. So without hesitation I always run Down Hill casings and Cush Core. This lets me do drops, jumps and send it without concern for my wheels!
I’ve punctured my rear tire twice in a row on my 29 plus salsa despite running higher pressures than usual, last time I thought I would end up walking back to the lot because it wouldn’t seal. With cushcore installed, I’m back to my regular pressures (around 12-14 psi) and it feels great, no punctures and keeps my rims protected.
So far so good! Install wasn’t to bad. No complaints!
I’m riding a 29 plus 3.0. It rides nice feels a little slower. But that’s okay. It dampens the noise. Great feel. Fred
I now run Cushcore in 3 of my bikes, gravel, bike packing, and hardtail mountain bike. I like being run low air pressure without worry of rim hits and the sidewall support makes corning better at low pressures as well.
